In collaboration with Kyle Barnes, I co-facilitated a 'computer cleanse spa' in which participants gathered to enact a ritual of digital and physical cleansing of their computers. We wiped our screens and saged our keyboards. We emptied our trash folder and redecorated our desktop. We cleared our cache and applied eye masks to our webcams. We attended to our hardware bodies with care in the way we have been trained to 'self-care' for our own flesh bodies. We explored and excavated and eventually, discarded varied forms of digital clutter. Files from participants trash bins were collected as RSVPs and collaged into a zine.
