In the event of opening their Dumbo space, I was asked by the Strother School for Radical Attention to choreograph and facilitate a custom ritual to help the community open the new space.

I responded to the commission with a five part attention ritual and opening ceremony that grounded the space in community values and definitions of sanctuary, starting with the individual, reaching into the collective, out in to the space, and finally down to the land and the river.
